Dr. Xiao Jing, Senior Engineer (Professor-level), National Distinguished Expert, IEEE Fellow, and Ph.D. from Carnegie Mellon University. He has long been engaged in research related to artificial intelligence and big data analysis and mining. He has published 301 academic papers, holds 136 U.S. patents, and 315 Chinese invention patents. He has participated in and undertaken 11 national projects, and has received numerous honors, including the First Prize of the Guangdong Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award, the First Prize of the Shanghai Municipal Science and Technology Progress Award, the First Prize of the Wu Wenjun Artificial Intelligence Science and Technology Progress Award, and the First Prize of the People’s Bank of China’s Fintech Development Award. In 2019, he received the Wu Wenjun Artificial Intelligence “Outstanding Contribution Award.” Dr. Xiao Jing has held research and development management positions at Epson America Research Institute and Microsoft Corporation in the United States.

He is currently the Chief Scientist of Ping An Group of China, responsible for the research and development of artificial intelligence technology and its application in the fields of finance, healthcare, and urban governance. Under his leadership, the team has established several benchmarks in the digitalization and intelligence of industries such as digital finance, smart healthcare, and smart cities. His social roles include Vice Chairman of the Intelligent Investment Research Technology Alliance (ITL), Member of the Guangdong Provincial Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), Member of the Shenzhen Municipal Committee of the CPPCC, Member of the Shenzhen Decision Advisory Committee, Director of the China Computer Federation, Vice Chairman of the Shenzhen Branch of the China Computer Federation, Chairman of the CCF CTO Club (Shenzhen), President of the Shenzhen Artificial Intelligence Industry Association, Member of the Qianhai Technology Innovation Expert Advisory Committee in Shenzhen, Member of the Artificial Intelligence Professional Committee of the Shanghai Association for Science and Technology, and Visiting Professor at Tsinghua University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Southern University of Science and Technology, Tongji University, Shenzhen University, and New York University Shanghai, among others.
